Pilates

Pilates is a specific tailored exercise program aimed to connect muscle function with conscious and unconscious control. Pilates is an exercise style that involves training your muscles to improve posture and alignment.

Ormond Physiotherapy has a specific one to one Pilates program with personalised treatment sessions aimed at improving:
  • Joint range of movement
  • Spinal mobility
  • Core stability
  • Trunk co-ordination
  • Muscle strength / endurance
  • Ligament / tendon / joint postural support.
Our sessions involve floor exercises, fitness ball exercises, resistance weights / therabands and specific rehabilitation exercises.
